In this year’s Thanksgiving Special, Mark reviews 3 wine suggested by his good friend Ceci Barretto of Vinously Speaking Wine Shop. She recently had a food and wine pairing for Thanksgiving at her shop and these were three of a group of wines she featured. Two wines are not typical Thanksgiving wines while the Pinot Noir is more traditional. Wines reviewed are the 2012 Castello de Papa Godello, the 2011 Cartlidge & Browne Pinot Noir, and the 2010 Tenuta Sant’Antonio Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso.
The background for this year is from Madeline Puckette of Wine Folly. Her site is probably one of the best new resources out there for wine. Excellent maps and graphics explaining various aspects of wine. If you haven’t checked it out, you should.
