In this Epic Episode of 1337 Wine TV, Mark returns to Max’s Wine Dive in San Antonio to do a guided wine tasting in front of a live audience. He also attempted to stream the show live via justin.tv. While the video was great, the audio was horrible for the live stream. If you were one of the people that attempted to watch it live, or try to watch it later that evening, I’m very sorry about the poor audio.
Mark tasted three wines he had never had before at Max’s, which is a feat unto itself. First was the 2011 Spice Route Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa. Second was the 2011 Chateau de Treviac from the Languedoc-Roussillon region in France. Third was the 2010 Meeker Vineyards Barbarian from California.
To finish off the show, Mark did a “blind” or deductive tasting of two wines. This is the first time he has published a video of this. Prior videos taken of any deductive tasting have never been released.
Many thanks go to Max’s Wine Dive for hosting this show. They have been one of my biggest supporters throughout the years. Also huge thanks to those that were part of the live audience. Some of which came in from out of town to help celebrate this milestone. These were some very close friends and I cannot thank them enough for attending. And, of course, I want to thank all of my viewers over the years. 300 episodes is a milestone that only a handful of video wine shows have reached, let alone regular television shows. I hope to have a few hundred more.
