Cabernet Day 2014 – Episode #309

Browse By

In this episode of 1337 Wine TV, Mark participates in Cabernet Day. This is the video from the Google Hangout On Air he did on Thursday, August 28, 2014. Since he was planning on having other guests on the Hangout, he didn’t record the show as per usual on his camera and audio recorder. As a result, the audio and video is typical live streaming quality. It’s not that he didn’t have people trying to join, he just didn’t get any notifications nor understood how to get others on the Hangout. On to the wine!

Mark reviews 3 wines based on the Cabernet Franc or Cabernet Sauvignon. First up is the 2009 Chateau Petit du Thouars Cabernet Franc from the Loire Valley in France. Next is the 2007 Calcareous Vineyard Cabernet France from Paso Robles, California. Last is the 2011 Hess Allomi Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley, California. Hess was one of the wineries affected by the earthquake on August 24, 2014. This wine was chosen to show support for the wineries affected by the earthquake.
