In this episode of 1337 Wine TV, Mark reviews the 2014 Ca’ del Baio Barbaresco Autinbej. Mark will be taking a much deserved 2-ish month break after this episode. He is in the final stretch towards the Court of Master Sommeliers Advanced Sommelier Exam. He takes the exam March 9, 2020 in Portland, Oregon. So over the next two weeks he’ll be concentrating on studying.
Post-exam he plans on taking a break from wine study (except for the weekly tasting group that he’s in). Maybe read a book or two not related to wine, play some video games, fly his drone (remember that?), and if he passes, compose some music.
Look for the return of 1337 Wine TV with a review of a whisky he received at the San Antonio Cocktail Conference back in January. He may create a video about the Exam also. Don’t expect a “Somm” movie like show, just a recap about the experience.
